Little Kids Need
Big Support
(and So Do Parents)
Young children communicate through play, behavior, movement, and emotion — not through long conversations.
Early Childhood Therapy at Nurturing Wellness meets children exactly where they are while giving caregivers practical tools that bring calm and connection back home.
This approach supports both the child *and* the parent, helping you understand what your child is feeling, what they need, and how to respond in ways that build trust, skills, and emotional regulation.

How Sessions Work: Parent-Led, Child-Focused
For young kids, “talk therapy” alone isn’t developmentally appropriate — and it’s rarely effective to send a 3–10 year old in by themselves and hope for big change. That’s why early childhood therapy with Katie is highly parent-involved by design.
Depending on your child’s needs, sessions may look like:
-
Parent-only sessions to understand what’s happening and build tools
-
Parent + child sessions using play, co-regulation, and emotion coaching
-
Brief, play-based time with your child as part of a parent-supported plan
This model is evidence-based and intentional. By supporting you and your child together, we can create real, sustainable shifts in your home — not just in the therapy room.
